EXAMS! EXAMS! EXAMS!
This question might have strike many people’s mind –
“Exams are our friend or an enemy?”
Well! Even I don’t have the answer but I will try to explain this from the point of view of a student, a teacher and a parent. Now, let me put on my thinking cap and start with my explanation:
STUDENT’s VIEW OF EXAMS:
Most of the Students do hate exams and so they will surely say that examinations are their enemy. They have to study the whole night and day and then if they do not score well, they have to listen the scolding of the adults and the laughs of others. Exams affect the student’s body. He doesn’t get proper sleep, they don’t eat properly and sometimes when they do not get good marks, they feel bad. This is the main reason; the students hate exams and think that exams are their enemy. But the students don’t know how much these exams help them by making the students realize their ability to do something. The marks obtained by them in any exam decide what they will become when they grow up. That is why, the exams are their friends too.
TEACHER’s VIEW OF EXAMS:
For the teachers, the exams are both a friend and an enemy (can also be called a frenemy). A friend, because it helps their students a lot and an enemy, because they have to prepare long and tough question papers and here also the work doesn’t end, the teachers have to check the long answer sheets later. And if there is a mistake in correction or totaling of marks, they have to listen to the long complaints of the students and their parents.
PARENTS’ VIEW OF EXAMS:
For the parents also the exams are a frenemy (Friend + Enemy). They are a friend because it helps their kids to achieve something good in their life. They are an enemy because the parents have to teach their kids and put a lot of efforts to help them in studies. Then also, when the exams get over, the parents along with their kids have a tension of the results.
With this I conclude that exams are two-in-one. They are a friend and an enemy. They help you a lot like a true friend by telling you your abilities. They trouble you like a true enemy by making you go crazy.
Exams are not a piece of cake but however, if we be consistent and sincere in our studies, we can defeat the enemy part of the exams and make them our true friends!
LOVE EXAMS AND AT THE SAME TIME, WORRY ABOUT THEM.
