So here I am, up with a really common topic- FEMINISM.

Feminism is both, a supported as well as a criticised topic. The accurate definition of feminism is-

The advocacy of women’s rights on the ground of the EQUALITY of the sexes.

Now let’s just have a look at the thing that I focused on the word ‘EQUALITY’. Many people think that we, the women who support feminism, want to overpower the men. And if you are one of such people then I am really sorry but your thinking is wrong.

Some people, out there, criticise feminism so much. They be like- ‘yeah! Feminism is so stupid. These crazy women want to rule over the men.’

Seriously? How stupid can such people be?

We never said that men are useless and women need to rule over this world. All we want is some respect and some equality. The history of many countries itself shows the differences between the rights of men and women.

There are so many strong and popular feminists-

• Yara Shahidi, a sixteen-year-old activist and an actress.
• Alexandra Svokos, a politics writer
• Akilah Hughes, a comedian, YouTuber and a writer.
• Emma Watson, a British actress.

India also has many leaders who are fighting for the equal rights of women-

• Sampat Pal Devi: She started Gulabi Gang with a group of women from her village to fight various forms of social injustice.
• Indira Jiasing: A lawyer who started Lawyer’s Collective, a human rights organisation in 1981.

And it’s not that only women support feminism. The men can also help the women get their rights.

We need to have a better place for the future generation to live in. We need to let the people know how much the women have suffered and are still suffering.

Please, we need equal rights to make this world equally beautiful.

And to conclude, I would just say,

‘FUTURE IS FEMALE’
