Motivational Session & Tips To Employees

Dear All,

Let me start sharing with you an interesting story. This happened in an unknown company. One day when employees reached their company they saw a board at the entrance:

“Yesterday the person who has been hindering your growth in this company passed away. Please join the funeral in the room that has been prepared in the gym”

All of them were sad at the demise of one of their colleagues but they were also intrigued by who was stopping them from growing. The excitement in the gym was such that security agents were ordered to control the crowd within the room. The more people reached the coffin, the more the excitement heated up.

Everyone thought: “Who is this guy who was hindering my progress? Well, at least he died!”

One by one the thrilled employees got closer to the coffin, and when they looked inside it they suddenly became speechless. They stood nearby the coffin, shocked and in silence, as if someone had touched the deepest part of their soul. There was a mirror inside the coffin: everyone who looked inside it could see himself.

There was also a sign next to the mirror that said:

“There is only one person who is capable to set limits to your growth: IT IS YOU.

Taking a moral from this story, I also advise and second the same thought that there is only one person who can influence your happiness, success and capabilities and that is you. Your life depends on you, it does not change even if you change your Friend, Project, or Boss or even if you change your Company. Your life changes only when you decide to make it changed.

स्वामी विवेकानंद जी ने भी कहा है, “सभी शक्तियां आपके भीतर है, आप कुछ भी और सब कुछ कर सकते हो|”…. The only way to start a task is to actually start it.

Each one of us wants to see many changes in our job also in our life. We can create anything we want but we have to truly decide to do it because there is a life-changing difference between “Wanting” & “Deciding”. Wanting takes nothing, every day wanting can be done sitting on a couch with a coffee mug in your hand and a travel magazine in your lap, wanting to Travel the whole world. But to make this happen, you really have to stop WANTING and DECIDE to go for it.

“If you want to live a life you have never lived, you have to do things you have never done”.

Further I shall advise you to understand the Value of Management investments on you, and how the salary is coming regularly reaching to your accounts each month, the investments on your training to make you grow. So once you understand your Cost To Company and your value in company’s growth story, you would work accordingly to attain a collective growth that I call it a grow together policy.

Importance of consistency and time management is yet another attribute I would like to advise everyone to always make task list, with priorities and to always remember all your tasks so you do complete them so you do not miss out any.

I was somewhere reading about the  Employability & Trainability and a shocking information I have got that most of the current IT Engineers in India are not upgrading their skills and shortly majority of them may become obsolete as they would not be trainable. It is alarming for us all, but again we can survive if we decide to upgrade our skills and start making changes right from now.

Swami Vivekananda preached that never hesitate trying new things “if you succeed you will lead, if you fail you can guide.”

Always remember that you are your greatest asset. Put your time, effort and money into training, grooming, and encouraging your greatest asset. Do not just work hard, work efficiently also.

“Comparison is the fastest way to kill all your happiness & fun”. Never compare yourself with others. Make your own goals, try to attain them and compare your achievements with the goals you have set.

Always have a positive mind-set and never give-up attitude. Ability is what you’re capable of doing. Motivation determines what you do. Attitude determines how well you do it.

I wish you all the success in your career.

With best regards,
Shri
