Believe In Yourself – Story by RIYA

“Mom, I am going out with Ralph to play. Bye! ,” said Justin.

Justin is a boy who doesn’t listen to anyone. He is a nuisance for his parents and he is always up to some mischief. He was truly an audacious person.

Justin has a friend named Ralph who is opposite to him. Ralph is a boy who is everybody’s favourite. He is a simple boy who studies and never does anything which can create trouble for others.

Justin and Ralph are not aware of their test and playing in the park instead of studying.

While they both were playing a boy from their class came and said, “Hey Justin! Hey Ralph! Why are you both playing? Don’t you know about our math test tomorrow?”

“What? We have a test tomorrow? Oh God! Bye! I need to study,” said Ralph.

“Hey! Wait! Where are you going? Chill man! You have the whole night to study,” said Justin.

The boy said, “ Justin, I will suggest you to study because sir said that if you don’t score well in the test, you will be suspended and all you games classes will be exchanged with the math ones.”

Justin still didn’t go home and said, “I will score well in the test.”

Ralph and the boy went home to study but Justin stayed in the park and played with himself.

After an hour or two, Justin went home, took his dinner and went to his room to study.

The next day, after the test Ralph says, “Hey Justin! How did your test go? Mine was not that good. I am afraid my result will not be good.”

“My result will be good,” Justin replied.

“How can you be so sure?”

“Because I believe in myself”

“Oh really?”

“Yeah”

Ralph and Justin sat on their benches and had their lunch.

After the recess, it was time for the results.

“Ralph, I didn’t expect this from you,” said their teacher while handing Ralph his test.

“Justin, I didn’t expect this from you either.”

When Ralph and Justin looked at their results, Ralph was shocked to see that he got 3 out of 10 and Ralph scored full marks.

To Ralph, this seemed impossible.

Then Justin explained, “Ralph, you were afraid that you will not score well in this test as you had not studied. You had no faith in yourself. And I, on the other hand, was not afraid at all because I knew if I will study a bit for this test, then I will score good marks. I believed in myself. So, always remember, if you believe in yourself, all your tasks will be accomplished.”

Ralph understood and he was no longer sad about his result.
